Why has my schedule gone blank?
All scheduling information is maintained by the Synk scheduler, which is a small independent program which always runs in the background. If, for some reason, Synk cannot contact the scheduler to obtain schedule information, the schedule tab of any document and the Scheduled Runs window will be empty.
In general, the best way to handle this situation is to reinstall the scheduler.
To reinstall the scheduler:
- Open Activity Monitor, at /Applications/Utilities/Activity Monitor.app
- Enter "Synk" into the search box at the top of the window, and select "Synk Scheduler (Hung)" if present. If not present, go to step 4.
- Click the "Quit Process" button in the toolbar. You will need to enter an administrator password. Quit Activity Monitor.
- In the Finder, delete /Library/StartupItems/SynkHelper
- Open a new document in Synk. Go to the scheduling tab, and try to set a schedule.
- Synk should notice that the scheduler is completely missing, and offer to reinstall it. Do so.
If reinstalling the scheduler doesn't help, check the Synk website for further support.
